reflecting on my revision process on my significant writing project I feel good about the quotes I had and used for my essay. Although I had an extremely hard time with this essay, I believe that it was my best essay all semester. 

I believe that quotes wise for my essay I had a hard time finding quotes to go along with the way I approached the assignment.  

“In our country we have the problem of should these reparations be paid. In America right now we have a problem where the population is having a hard time with the idea of being open minded and having a conversation that might be hard to have about reparations. This is an example of what Carol Dweck would call a “fixed mindset”. The behavior of a fixed minded person would be seen as, “ “after a failure, they looked for someone who did worse than they did so they could feel really good about themselves (3:05).”

I took out a section of my essay that I can show my steps of my quote I selected. 

I started off with my claim “In our country we have the problem of should these reparations be paid. In America right now we have a problem where the population is having a hard time with the idea of being open minded and having a conversation that might be hard to have about reparations”

This claim directly relates with the essay prompt for this essay, then from here I make a relation text to text from on author we read to another. 

“ This is an example of what Carol Dweck would call a “fixed mindset”.”

Then from there I pulled a quote for an example of what a fixed minded person was or how they act. 

 “after a failure, they looked for someone who did worse than they did so they could feel really good about themselves (3:05).”
