Throughout the semester I’ve been working on my problem with the speed at which I write at and the speed I work at. I do believe that all of my essays were written well and the idea of them all connected to the topic we were given, but I know that my spelling and grammar has made me loose points due to not being careful enough when I’m checking over my essay.
My most common mistakes are the little things like punctuation, spelling, quotation marks and citing my quotes have came from.
For example If I was working on an essay and quoted something ive caught myself may times doing this
“the intellectual engine of a functional democracy: the set of mental practices that lends breadth, depth, clarity, and consistency to public discourse.”
the problem is im not ending my quote with the authors name and where I found it in the essay.
I believe if I truly slow down while writing and reviewing I would be able very easily change these bad habits and be able to get a real true grade for my work.
